About project

Partnering with healthcare providers, Woundtech delivers specialized wound care directly to patients with complex injuries that require timely and effective treatment. Its advanced telemedicine platform improves accessibility by connecting patients and wound care specialists and offering in-depth analytics. With the Woundtech solution, patients receive superior care wherever they reside.

Without DeviQA

 • There were no effective automated tests

 • Smoke and regression tests were executed manually

 • Lack of automation led to slow release cycles and increased risk of human error

 • Test reporting tools weren’t available, making it difficult to analyze test results

 • Test coverage was not high enough

With DeviQA

 • A structured test automation process was established and seamlessly integrated into the development workflow

 • Smoke testing is now fully automated, and regression testing achieves 80% automation coverage

 • Automated testing, based on best industry practices like modern frameworks, CI/CD integration, and multithreaded execution, has significantly improved test efficiency

 • Comprehensive test reporting was introduced with modern tools, ensuring clear, structured, and easily interpretable reports

 • 80% test coverage was achieved through a mix of manual and automated tests

Our engagement

When DeviQA engineer joined the project, there was already an established QA team, test documentation, and a suite of automated tests.

However, the automation framework presented significant maintenance challenges - tests were difficult to read, tightly coupled, and unreliable. Generally they were not even included in the development process.

Additionally, test runs lacked structured reporting and weren’t integrated into the development workflow, making it hard to track results efficiently.

To optimize the QA process, we built a new test suite while using the existing test documentation. We worked closely with the Woundtech team to align our automation efforts with the project goals, resulting in a more stable and scalable testing solution. Our key achievements include:

 • Full automation of smoke tests and 80% automation coverage for regression tests.
 • Development of over 130 automated test scripts, expanding overall coverage.
 • Implementation of mobile test automation to cover critical functionalities.

Seamless integration of automated reports, with test results sent to ‘Testmo’ and extended insights available via Allure reports.

By integrating automated tests directly into the development and release cycle, we significantly improved bug detection in the early stages of testing. The QA process was speeded up through reduced manual effort and enhanced test reliability. As a result, the team now catches and resolves most issues before they impact production. This success was largely due to the integration of automated testing into the development process, as well as our focus on covering the critical cases required by the client.

Documentation update/maintenance

When DeviQA joined the project, test documentation was already in place, but it lacked proper structure, making maintenance and expansion challenging. We analyzed the existing documentation and introduced improvements to enhance clarity, consistency, and coverage. Now, all test cases are easy to follow, up-to-date with business requirements, and aligned with best testing practices.
